Psychiatric Hospitalization – Pros And Cons
In the past years since I started to act for other consumers, I received many phone calls asking whether it is Ok to hospitalize they’re loved one who suffer from psychosis. These people wanted my approval for doing that. But why is that?
The answer is that they go through a conflict. It is against humane nature to take your loved one and put him behind a kind of bars. The hospitalization act is considered to be the last resort for treating your loved one with psychosis.
If you have enough patient as a family, you are supportive and willing to accept any kind of behavior, may be you can consider giving treatment to your loved one inside your house. You have to take into consideration that it would cost you a lot of money and personal efforts. If you decide to do that, you would have to use a private doctor to come to visit at your house for several times, and that’s alone costs a lot of money.
Nonetheless, you have to take precautions and do things to prevent any extreme action of your loved one. You have to take away from the house any sharp tools such as knifes and screwdrivers in order to prevent him to do an extreme act of despair.
If you are not ready for that kind of devotion, you can consider what more than 90% of the population is doing – Hospitalization. Take into consideration that you are doing it for your loved one. You want his sake and are doing an act of despair after you tried with no success to help him in other ways.
There is a possibility that your loved one would hate you for that, but in time he would understand that you did not have any other choice.
